This campground provide the quintessential camping experience. Large heavily wood sites with minimal facilities. It also provides a good experience for those of us with large RVs. Easy access back in sites that are large enough for the biggest rigs. Many sites have satellite TV access along with a river view. The reservation system, however, is a bit confusing. Only even numbered sites can be reserved, but nearly all of the best riverfront sites are even numbers thus without a reservation, no riverfront site. There is also a second campground with no views but electric sites and mixed trees and sun with big rig access. Sites are fairly level with gravel pad, fire ring, and table.

This is a local gem run by Rock Island county. Located along the Mississippi River with great views from many sites. The sites are large, well spaced gravel pads with 50 amp electric and water. Grass between sites with large trees to provide shade. Satellite reception was possible from most sites as the trees are on the North side. Regular digital TV reception is excellent. Our large motor homes was at home in this campground. The price listed was the senior rate, but the full rate was only $11/night. We looked at the COE campground just a mile away and decided that this was better due to easy access and water at each site for only $1 more. These sites are within 100 yards of the water with an open view whereas some of the COE sites are on the water. There is a long bike trail that cuts through the park which is an added bonus.

This campground has two sections: an older lower section with grass/gravel pull through pads, water and 30 amp electric, and the upper (and right) section which is a very nice modern campground with level cement pad and full service including cable and good free wi-fi. It is associated with a motel so check-in is done as you turn in off the highway before the campground. We stayed overnight without disconnecting the toad. It is a good overnight stop being just a mile off I-90.

Nice overnight campground just off of I-15 located North of Pocatello at exit 80. Easy pull through sites for all types of rigs. This campground is fairly open with smallish trees and open grass areas. All sites are pull-throughs with hard surface. Located away from the casino so noise is not a problem. Free Wi-Fi is included satellite access is good but there are several strong local stations (now in digital HD). Given the cost of other campgrounds in the area, for an overnight stay this is a good deal. The casino (slots only) might be of interest to some travelers.

Although I agree with the previous reviews comments, there is more to a campground than the physical facilities. Unfortunately our week stay was marred by some heavy handed rules and poor practices by the management. If you stay only a single night, you probably will not be affected by the control over your activities. We asked for a satellite friendly site over 6 months in advance and although available when we arrived, we were denied this type of site because they are "saved for overnighters" (this doesn't make sense to me either). Have water on your slide covers, too bad because you are not allowed on your own roof to push it off - and you are also not allowed to use a ladder for any purpose. Campers are expected to be home by 10PM. And don't even think about opening your hood to check the oil. Some rules are written with a wink, but these are enforced. The only conclusion I can reach is that management runs the campground for their convenience without regard to their customers needs and interests. I would think twice about staying for any length of time and would not stay again.

Great location for a campground - spacious sites on basically open ground with paved streets and pads. Plenty large for even the largest RV with slides. Streets are a bit narrow but careful driving will pay off. Staff was helpful. HOWEVER, we did have a major problem which some of you may encounter. Our motorhome could not stay connected to the electric due to the GFIs tripping. It is unusual that campgrounds have a GFI on the pedestal. We tried to connect to 3 separate pedestals without success as a consequence we did not have electric service. There was nothing obviously wrong with the pedestals or our rig, just some unexplained incompatibility. We have never encountered this before. A trip to the office for a refund (which was granted) and there were knowing remarks about some RVs not being compatible with the electrical in this park. Bottom line, if you can connect, this is a great place to camp. We left after our first night and connected at another campground without a problem.

I agree with earlier posts - this is a very nice CG for bigger rigs. The brochure states that they allow motorhomes and 5ers. Staff is accommodating and friendly. Late season rate was $35, much less than in season ($51). These rates include extended cable, 3 point hookups, free Wifi. Satellite reception depends on the site. Over all a nice place to camp - no matter what you camping style this campground has a site for you. Pull through for the largest of rigs to small tent camping in the heavy woods. Ours was a full hookup in the open with a view of the sky for the satellite. In most cases the sites are not improved - graded but basically follow the terrain contour. The daily complete lobster dinners for about $15 was a real draw for us. Our rate ($21) reflects the Passport/America discount. The bath house is in poor condition and would not handle the needs of a full campground with lots of tenter's. Staff is very helpful and the location is good for sightseeing. Most of the comments from other reviewers are accurate. Nice park with site for every taste. Ours was a long pull through perfect for a one night stay and quick get away in the morning. We were lead to our original site which I didn't like, so the staff member took us to another more acceptable site without hesitation. Most sites are on grass and vary in there degree of level. Power and wifi were good even in the distant sites. This is in the heart of the Amish country so there are many interesting activities when you tire of seeing RVs being built. It is next to two busy train tracks. There is no "lake", just a smallish pond.

The other reviewers presented an accurate picture of this campground - a real find and big rig friendly. However the earlier listing indicated that it had water and sewer - not true. Sites are electric only and some with 50 amp. Satellite reception is good on many sites but local TV is poor. Fire rings and picnic table are at each site as well as a nice gravel pad. Good no frills campground - just what we needed for our stay in St Augustine. Large pull-make overnight and longer stays easy with a large rig. The sites are sand/gravel/grass but are level and wide enough for the largest rig. This CG is centrally located for the St. Augustine area and only a few miles from the central city. It is on a major highway, but noise was not a problem. We stayed several nights and would recommend it as a base to see the sights. GPS Coords are 29.85098N 81.35953W

Nice rural campground surround by cattle. Driveway/interior roads are narrow, but the sites are good with easy access. We camped in a long pull-through with plenty of space for 40ft motorhome and toad. Several signs off the expressway (I-75) make the campground easy to find. No problem with satellite reception. Nice park within spiting distance of KOA and Jellystone but much less expensive. Facilities are limited but it does have a pool and helpful staff who set us up with tickets to the Grand Ole Opry. Lots of trees make satellite reception limited. Stay near the entrance for best reception. We stayed in a nice pull through with full hookups for the price above. Their website allows for booking online. Most sites would accommodate a big rig. The interior roads are good. Other review comments are accurate for our stay.

This campground is everything the other reviewers have said. It is not listed in either Woodals or Trailer Life, so we were a bit hesitant to stop, but we are very glad we did. Cochran (the town) has nothing for tourists, but the campground makes up for this shortcoming. Each camper gets a golf cart which is free until taken on the golf course and with a golf "family membership" at $35 per month, is often. All fees are payable upon leaving - a tab is kept for golf and camping. Twenty seven holes and no tee times required except on the weekend. Sites are open grass with full hookups (including WiFi, but look at the antenna location before parking to insure signal strength) with ample space for your toad and golf cart to park. Staff is very helpful and friendly. I would like to keep this gem a secret undiscovered CG, but I am sure that the word will get out. 32.36221N 83.34269W

Small family run campground near Athens, GA. All of the sites are heavily wooded, gravel and level. Our back-in site was fine for our large motorhome. Cell phone access is OK, satellite TV is nearly impossible, and over the air TV is weak. They mention free WiFi but we did not use it. Overall appearance was that of a state park - plenty of trees, good distance between campsites, rustic appearance. Full hook-ups including 50 amp power all worked as expected. Payment is expected in cash or check. There was a play ground and small lake with fishing for campground users. 33.81980N 83.46606W

Spacious campground offering all types of campsites - shaded, big, small, open, tent, etc. The interior roads are sand-gravel but our motorhome didn't have and trouble navigating among the trees. Most sites are water-30 amp with about 30 full hookup and 15 50 amp. Their claim to fame is the Bluegrass festival, but we when we were here it was very quiet. The owner brought us a fire ring for a camp fire so they know about real camping. Most of the RV sites are large and offer no problem for a large motorhome on grassy sites. There is a small lake, and hiking at the 89 acre park. The local golfing is good. Tourist type services in town are limited. Little road noise or other intrusions interrupt the nature experience. 32.36289N 83.32606W

The other reviewers have accurately assessed this park - it is among the best. Nice to see a well run park with able and friendly staff provide a great place for RVers. Their pull throughs are unique - double long cement pads that allow a class A plus a long trailer to remain attached. Many similar upscale parks require either a Class A or large 5th wheel for entry - this park takes everyone with an RV (no tents). Many nice free or inexpensive activities are included. Young foliage makes the park seem a bit spartan but that will change with time. Small lake offers water views but about the only thing this park lacks is real water front sites.

The last campground in Naples before Everglades City and the Everglades park. So it is a bit remote from the city, but good for heading south. Nice wide sites with concrete pads and full hookups. Wide streets make backing big rigs easy. The highway noise was noticeable in our transient site. Ask for a more interior site to keep the traffic noise low.

Good location at the beginning of the Keys. Twenty four hour gated community with mostly (350) park models with RV campsites (150) scattered around the park. Sites vary but most are long and wide with grass. Some have cement pads with grass parking for the RV. Nice pool and club house with many activities. Noise was minimal.

I generally agree with the previous comments - good park for the money. We camped in prime season at discounted rate with a coupon. The park is very near the expressway which generates lots of road noise for many of the less expensive sites. Even in high season there are many vacancies. The staff has been helpful and friendly. They have a wide variety of sites with most big enough for large rigs. Table and cement patio is part of most sites.

Overnight campground about 2 miles from the expressway. Basically open sites but many are too short for a big rig. We were able to squeeze our 40 footer into a site with some effort. Sites are wide with cement pads (no tables), and good 3 point connections. Most of the park is mobile homes and permanents but we were welcomed. Even in the high season, there were many sites available. A small pool is the extent of the recreational facilities, but the price was right. We stayed in a motor home.

Beautiful wooded campsites on Greenbay. The sites are large with 50 amp electric. Although sites are wooded, we were able to get satellite views as the trees are not covering every site. The rates have gone up this year, but with 50amp and new clean rest rooms it is worth it. Also new is that firewood must be local. Very good dump facility also. We stay on a site with a view.

Resting on the shores of Lake Michigan this park is a gem. Many sandy water front sites or if you prefer, wooded sites with long asphalt pads for big RVs are available. The park is remote - 11 miles from town but offers great camping with a beach and other camping activities offered by state parks. We were able to get satellite in the beach campground after carefully selecting our site.

Very large campground with a wide variety of sites. Although we had full hookups, our site was not level and I had to use 4WD to get the rig through the sand. The interior streets are narrow and not designed for big rigs. Big rigs need to get the premium priced sites for enough space. Extensive facilities and activities including great beach access make this a destination CG.

Nice over night campground just a couple of miles off the interstate. Quiet spacious sites make for a nice night's sleep. Full hookups, clean well maintained facilities and a large pool (in season) also help make for a pleasant stay. Trees and shade, free wifi in the office, and easy access to the SW sky (for satellite) are also appreciated.

This park offers camping on the ocean - with W/E, shelter, and table. Nice large sites with view. Park is quite a distance from town so stock up prior to arrival. We were able to drive in without a reservation but the TX State Park reservation system is great.

Nice campground near the highway good for overnight or longer. Large pull-through site with full hookups. We have stayed several times as we travel north or south through Texas so we consider it to be a "home base" to winterize or de-winterize as the seasons change. RV dealer next door can handle repairs, propane and purchase of a new rig (if that's what you need). Open and shaded sites long enough so that we do not have unhook to stay the night. Never been there when the pool was open but it looks nice.

Excellent over night campground. Located just off the expressway with some noise but not objectionable. We've often looked for a nice CG for a single night - this is one of the best. Pull through, cement pads, tables, pool, full hookups, free WiFi, AND breakfast. New and clean - its worth a stop.

This is a very friendly and convenient campground with lots of official and unofficial activities (block parties for instance). The management provides many amenities not usually provided such as a bus for group transportation (free), free golf on the properties course, tennis balls for the organized events, BBQ grills for group activies and many more. There are shaded and open sites all with full hook-ups even for the largest rig. Being near McAllen, there are plenty of outside activites and good shopping. Wifi does however cost. Having stayed at several valley campgrounds, we found this one to be a cut above.
